Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Mac ‘n' Cheese – It's MACovember at STACKED
If you know me, you know I am not one to step away from a challenge. When I heard STACKED had thrown down a MAC challenge, I couldn't wait to step up to their challenge a create my ultimate signature MAC dish.
For my dish, I started with the STACKED Cajun Shrimp Stacked Mac featuring Cajun-style shrimp, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers, chopped green onions, and topped with Parmesan bread crumbs. Then, I stacked my mac with applewood smoked bacon and pork andouille to create a Louisiana-style jambalaya dish that warmed my heart.
As you can see, STACKED doesn't skimp on their ingredients. I was delighted to find full-size Cajun-style shrimp and plump sausage wheels throughout the entire dish.
While you're at STACKED, you MUST try their Candied Bacon. Yes, I just said Candied Bacon. This thick cut bacon is cherrywood smoked and basted with maple syrup and brown sugar before it's slowly baked until caramelized. Appearing on both the appetizer and dessert menus, this is a sweet and savory treat you don't want to miss.
