DIY Rustic Hanging Vases
- Small milk bottle (also works with mason jars)
- Glue gun
- Thin wire
Step 1 – Bend a piece of wire into a small heart shape. Then cut a long piece of twine and glue the end to the bottom of the wire heart with the glue gun. Wrap the twine around the heart until the wire is completely covered, then glue the end in place to prevent it from unwinding.
Step 2 – Trim two pieces of twine, long enough that they can easily wrap around the center of the bottle. Use the glue gun to attach the end of each to either side of the heart. Wrap the other ends around the bottle and tie in place.
Step 3 – Cut another piece of wire long enough that it can wrap around the top of the bottle several times. Then cut a long piece of twine and tie each end to the wire. Make sure you tie these with a double knot and pull tightly so that they cannot come undone because this is what the bottle will be hanging from.
Step 4 – Wrap the wire around the top of the bottle, underneath the rim, as many times and as tightly as possible, then wind the ends together to hold it in place. Make sure the twine that is attached to the wire is either side of the top of the bottle. Then cut another piece of twine and wrap it around the top of the bottle, covering the wire, and glue in place.
