Easy and Cheap DIY Makeup Holder
- Paper towel tubes
- Paint – dark pink (or any color of your choice) and white
- Paint tray
- Paint brush
- Glue gun
Step 1 – Cut the paper towel tube into three sections of different heights. If you are using shorter toilet paper tubes then use three and trim each one to a different length. Then place them onto a piece of cardboard and lightly draw around them with the pencil so you know how much room they will take up. Then cut out a circular shape that is slightly larger than your pencil line.
Step 2 – Put a blob of the colored paint and a blob of the white paint into the paint tray. Take one of your cardboard tubes and paint the bottom section with the colored paint. Add a little bit of white into the paint in the tray to make a slightly lighter shade, then paint the next section of the tube. Continue this until the tube is completely covered, creating an ombré effect. Repeat this on the other two paper tubes.
Step 3 – Paint the cardboard circle that you made in step one with the colored paint, and cover the insides of the tubes with a layer of white paint. Once all of the paint has dried, stick the three tubes onto the cardboard using the glue gun. Stick the tallest tube at the back, and the shorter tubes either side of it at the front. Hold them in place until the glue has dried, then the pot is ready for you to store your makeup in.
