Hollywood Boulevard was shining bright as the stars of MARVEL's latest film celebrated at the Ant-Man Premiere and Red Carpet Event in Hollywood, California last week.

Ant-Man introduces audiences to what many call the first Avenger, as we watch Paul Rudd as the new Ant-Man, try to turn his life around to become the hero his daughter Cassie already knows he is. Packed full of cameos from our favorite Avengers and their villains, MARVEL has once again created a f-ANT-astic film continuing the MCU saga audiences of all ages will love. (I would love to tell you more about this amazing film, but I can't just yet. Check back on July 17th for our full movie review.)
MARVEL's Ant-Man opens in theatres July 17, 2015.
MARVEL Ant-Man Premiere Red Carpet Event
It was a gorgeous night in Hollywood the night of the Ant-Man Premiere Red Carpet Event. The weather was perfect, and for the first time one of our sons was my guest for the night.
The fans came on in masses to celebrate the premiere of MARVEL's latest film and to catch a glimpse, and maybe even an autograph, from their favorite celebrities. The Media lined the red carpet, bringing live feeds and photographs to viewers throughout the world.
No one could pass on the opportunity to take a photo with the iconic, one of a kind Ant-Man suit. Our son was jonesing to jump into the suit to test it's shrinking ability and strength, and to get a new perspective of the event. An ant-sized perspective of epic proportions.
Of course jumping into the suit would probably get us tackled by the Hulk, arrested by Captain America, maybe even interrogated Black Window and a few other MARVEL Avengers, not that that would be a bad thing, so we settled for a photo op just like everyone else. Just to be safe.
The legendary Dolby Theatre, home of the Oscars, proudly displayed their Ant-Man love to celebrate the premiere.
The last time we were at the Dolby Theatre was for Oscar Week, and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly this area of Hollywood and Highlands can transform into an event as spectacular as it does for nights like these. The perfectly laid red carpet, the ambiance, and of course the celebrities always make these events a night to remember.
The gorgeous, long red carpet for the Ant-Man event followed the same path as the Oscar red carpet and was lined by MARVEL fans trying to get a glimpse of their favorite celebrities.
We were lucky enough to walk the red carpet not once but twice this night, before heading up to Dobly Theatre to watch MARVEL's latest film, Ant-Man.
A little known tidbit about my better half is that he is a certified Entomologist. Simply put, entomology is the scientific study of insects, a branch of zoology.
When I sent him a photo of the Ant-Man ant farm outside of the Dolby Theatre doors he just about died. This was such a creative way to bring ants to world premiere event, and he's kind of bummed I didn't ask to bring this farm home with us.
Kevin Welzel, a UC Riverside entomology graduate, was on hand the at the premiere event to answer question about the ants live on site as well as the four species of ants from the film; Carpenter Ants, Crazy Ants, Fire Ants, and Bullet Ants.
After learning more about the little powerhouses that starred in MARVEL's latest film, it was finally time to watch Ant-Man with the talent from the film.
But just before we entered the theatre the red carpet unicorns showed up!
Once everyone was seated it was time for the premiere to begin. The cast was introduced on stage before the film started as they received applause from everyone in attendance.
Paul Rudd Receives Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Things only got better from there for one of my favorite actors, Paul Rudd, star of Marvel’s Ant-Man, as he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the historic El Capitan Theatre! Ant-Man's Director Peyton Reed and co-star Michael Douglas were both on hand for this celebration honoring actor Paul Rudd.
